Our Happy Customers
  • Camilla and I are little different from anyone else but building a home wasn't on our bucket list of things to do someday. Neither one of us was keen on the idea of building, but faced with limited options and a 180 day timeline with which to work, building a home seemed the least stressful of our options. Our preference in choosing professionals to work with is word of mouth so, relying on the recommendation of a friend, Brian Hester, one of Synergy Homes heating and cooling subcontractors, we contacted Maria with our situation. From the initial phone call on, it was evident this was the route we should take. Maria immediately came across as an honest, down-to-earth person with high business integrity and assured us that indeed a project of our nature was possible, with no sacrifice in quality.

A large part of our initial lack of desire for building came from the notion that it is a daunting, stressful task and the many horror stories we had heard over the years regarding unnecessary delays, inflexibility of the contractor and the contractor forbidding the homeowner from talking to the various subcontractors involved in the process. From our initial handshake forward we found none of this to be true. Instead we found that Maria's use of Co-Construct, numerous phone calls, emails and text messages were key to a highly organized, efficient and timely progression. She was able to ask pointed questions to make sure each detail was to our liking. We were encouraged to visit the job site and talk to the various trades people, this alone was appreciated; to a person we found each subcontractor fiercely loyal to Maria, highly motivated, efficient and anxious to make sure their work was what we wanted and to our liking. Although we tried to quickly decide on the items left to our choice and stay ahead of Maria's ambitious schedule, we found ourselves behind that schedule more than once! Additionally, when inevitable little issues arose, such as the tornado and torrential hail in south Lincoln, Maria and her team proved quite flexible and creative in problem solving, again with no sacrifice in quality or unnecessary delay.

Another item we appreciate is the attention to detail Maria and the rest of her team display. Though many works of art are now buried under drywall, some are visible. With each house being a unique creation, these of course may vary but we noticed for instance that the bricklayer put the time and effort into filling the end row of bricks with a brick rather than just filling the brick hole with mortar as is common today. The trim carpenter took the time with his router to finish the edges of wood rather than leave them square. Several other items are noticeable but we don't want to ruin the pleasant and possibly unique surprises awaiting future clients!

Our home building experience as a whole was quite pleasant and enjoyable. The stress we imagined the process would be never presented itself. Maria and her whole team operate as a fairly well oiled machine and delivered a high quality, well built, on time home. Given our experience we don't anticipate any warranty issues arising but if they do we have no doubt they will be taken care of without hesitation. We would also like to point out that our involvement with Synergy Homes has been such that our daughter and son-in-law, after much research, have chosen Maria and her team to build their new home!

It seems the least we can do beyond a heartfelt Thank-You! to Maria and her team is to welcome anyone who is considering Synergy Homes as their home builder to look no further and please ask Maria for our contact information and give us a call or send an email. We will gladly share our pictures and experience in more leisurely detail.

    Thank you!

  • We contracted with Synergy Homes to build our new home in Lincoln and we are pleased with the results, as well as the entire process. The owners, Andy and Maria Semerad were knowledgeable, friendly and punctual in all of their dealings with us during our build. When we first considered building, the process seemed overwhelming, but the Synergy Homes team worked with us every step of the way and gave us enough time to make each decision so that we could make our home beautiful. We asked many, many questions throughout the process and the Synergy team was always patient, courteous and quick to respond, which let us know that the building of our new home was as important to them as it was to us. Our home was completed to our specifications and was done right on schedule, which we were very grateful for.  - Greg and Deann

  • Andy and Maria of Synergy Homes were an integral part in the decision for us to build a new home. Their assistance in modifying a home design that worked for our family allowed us to create a home with the features that were important to us and reworking other areas to maximize the space. During the building process we were able to choose finishes and fixtures that allowed us the best use of our budget. Andy and Maria helped us realize a dream of a new home and we plan on staying in it for many years.     - John and Michelle

  • My wife and myself had an unbelievably great experience with Synergy Homes. Maria and Andy are amazing and did an excellent job building our home. We could not have asked for anything more from the whole process and our house is amazing. If you are building a house anywhere around the Lincoln area you have to give Maria a call. Thank you so much!   - Greg and Shawna

  • We would just like to THANK YOU for everything that you have done for our family over the past 5-6 months. We searched and searched, off and on, about 5 years to find a home for our family of 6. We kept coming to the conclusion that 1) we would never find anything in our price range or 2) we would find a home and have to do multiple upgrades to make it work for our family.

In spring of 2015 we looked at a 5 bedroom home built by Synergy and we loved the workmanship. We talked with Maria a few times back and forth for about a month or two. She gave us a spec sheet as to what we would receive for the money we wanted to pay. We were astounded by what we would get – something that would be our own creation even! We were able to look at another house similar to our floor plan and we were able to make modifications that we were looking for. One thing that was great about Synergy was that they never pressured us into any decisions or modifications. We had some ideas and they made it happen. I believe it was April 23 when we signed our purchase agreement papers with Maria and I have never felt so comfortable and content about a decision as big as this. With all the spring rain we did not break ground until towards the end of June. I still remember seeing the lot with our rafters and supplies all around on July 1. July 2 we came out to see progress and the basement was framed already. We came back on July 5th and it had a roof on – we were into our home in the timeframe that we were hoping to be in.

I grew up with my dad and brothers building houses, it truly was something I never wanted to go through just because it can be a long and arduous process. We were warned by my family that if you're going to build, you're going to go over by at least 10-20%. Synergy has this cool app called Co-Construct. This is where you pick all of your finished and it gives you a timeline as to when things need to be picked out and purchased. You can see when you do upgrades and you have to actually approve the upgrades before they continue. We only upgraded about $3000. Even with the $3000 in upgrades we were still at our comfortable amount. The nice thing about Synergy – many of the upgrades that other builder would have – they were standard items with Synergy. We met many of their subs that come in to do some finishing work, everyone was so nice and did great work. Another reason I would build with Synergy again is that anytime we needed to make a change or something wasn't done as indicated on the plan, Maria had a Plan B and it was always remedied quickly and to our liking.

Working with Synergy, once we got our lot picked and our hole dug, was nothing short of amazing. The process was SO smooth. Even my Dad and brother were amazed by their workmanship and what we were receiving for our money. Maria was in constant contact with us – letting us know updates on the process. We were able to watch our home be built. What a journey it was. As I sit here in my new kitchen it still seems pretty surreal that we have this beautiful home that we've been wanting for the past 5 years. All the kids have their space and we have a home that we can continue to grow up in, even as the kids get older and leave and come back with their families.

I strongly suggest using Synergy Homes if you're thinking about building a home for your family. If we were going to build again in the future, we would definitely be going with them. We would gladly open our doors to you if you want to see what you can get for your money – we are so proud of our new home!!

Thank you Maria for making our dreams come true!

  • We chose Synergy Homes for our first building experience unbeknownst to us that it would truly turn into our dream home! Maria and Andy made the process so easy and stress free from the very beginning up to closing. We were given several options within each category so that we could choose the selection that would best fit our needs. We left the experience feeling like they were part of our family! Thanks again, Synergy Homes!
